As a blogger or online entrepreneur, you definitely understand how important your website’s appearance and your brand’s visual assets are.
But when you’re only just starting out with a bootstrapped budget, it might be impossible to invest in your overall design, branding, logo, images and graphics by hiring professional designers.
So, you end up relying on free tools such as Pixabay, Pexels, Unsplash and Canva to take care of your blog design needs yourself.
While there is nothing wrong with going this route per se (as long as you make sure you obtain the right licence to use images, graphics and other design elements), it is hard to stand out from the crowd when everyone uses the same free images and the same free fonts on Canva (do Brusher, Playlist Script and Shadows Into Light ring a bell?).
Come on, you know what I’m talking about… we’re all guilty of having used Playlist Script for a pin at least once. But when every man and their dog use exactly the same old fonts, how can you be successful at establishing a strong and recognisable brand for your blog?
Well, what if I told you there is a place where you can find images, graphics, templates, fonts, patterns and everything in between without the professional price tag?
The resource I’m talking about is TheHungryJPEG. It’s a lifesaver for any blogger on a tight budget and a gamechanger for all your design needs!
It’s definitely amongst the blogging tools that I use and highly recommend!

TheHungryJPEG is an amazing resource for bloggers and online entrepreneurs who don’t want to outsource or can’t afford to hire professional designers but still want beautiful and unique graphic design content for their website, logo, blog posts, freebies, ad campaigns, newsletters, business cards, products, product mockups and so on.
It is a marketplace where you can find high-quality design resources professionally created by designers for a very affordable price. Their design items are ready for you to use and available immediately. And as if their prices weren’t a bargain already, they even throw in some freebies weekly!
What can you get from TheHungryJPEG
TheHungyJPEG is a goldmine! They provide an impressive selection of
- Infographic elements
- Vector graphics
- And much more!
Every item has been created by professional designers and every single of them looks stunning!
Look at these social media, banner and website templates, aren’t they just to die for?
And as you can see, TheHungryJPEG has something for every budget.
Prices for paid items start as low as $1 which is shocking for such a great quality. Sometimes, items are sold in sets which works out even cheaper than $1 per item.
WordPress themes and premium quality fonts and graphics may cost a little bit more but are still very affordable at no more than the $40/60 price range.
But it gets even better!
TheHungryJPEG runs regular deals and even throw in some freebies on a weekly basis!
For example, you get access to
- Weekly freebies. YAY! Who doesn’t like a freebie, hey? Especially when the quality of this free stuff is as good as the paid items!
- Flash sales on Fridays to grab a bargain all year round!
- And, my favourite! Premium monthly bundles!
What are TheHungryJPEG bundles
Bundles are a collection of numerous design elements (for example, 60 fonts) so that you have a variety to choose from and use them for different design projects depending on your needs or a collection of themed design elements (for example, floral/Christmas/feminine fonts, images, backgrounds, illustrations, icons, etc.) so that you can give a cohesive look to your website, your social media accounts and posts and all your other design projects for your brand.
The great thing about these bundles is that since you buy design elements in batch, you get to score some huge discounts… I’m talking about whopping discounts upwards of 97%!!! So, for example, you could get something valued at (and usually sold for) $500 for only $15. Real bargains indeed!
And as if that wasn’t enough, you also get a further 10% discount automatically applied to your purchase when you share the bundle on Twitter or Facebook.
How cool is that?
Thinking it’s too good to be true? I will give you an example:
The Delectable December Bundle
This is a bundle I have just recently got and I’m already in love with it.
The Delectable December Bundle is a collection of 39 fonts and 10 graphic packs including more than 700 graphic elements.
If you added up the individual price of all the elements included in the bundle, it would be normally priced at $544 but you get everything for only $29 which is basically the price of one or two!
You get all of these beautiful fonts below plus 10 graphic packs for a fraction of the price!
These fonts are all professionally crafted by designers. They’re stunning and I can’t wait to start using them in my pins, social media posts, products and freebies!
What’s the catch
I know you may be wondering how is this all possible? What’s the catch?
Well, TheHungryJPEG is a reputable company leader in their industry. So, there is no catch, really.
The reason why bundles are sold at such a massive discount is that each designer contributes their item to the bundle but only for a limited time.
So, basically, it kinda works like a flash sale where you can grab this incredible bargain but only if you act fast.
The Delectable December Bundle is only available for the next few days.
After that, it’s gone forever and you will then have to buy the design elements individually at their regular price.
Why I love TheHungryJPEG
If it’s true that the bundles are only available for a limited time, every purchase you made from TheHungryJPEG (including the bundles) comes with a lifetime download guarantee!
So, even once the bundle is no longer available on their website, if you purchased it on time, you will have everything included in the bundle forever.
All your past purchases are stored in your profile online.
So, if you use different devices or if you buy a new one, you can easily download all your design elements from each device easily!
As soon as you download and install the fonts on your computer or other devices, they will be loaded into your system and added to the range available to use in Photoshop, Word, notepad, PowerPoint, etc. Some online programs will also allow you to upload your own fonts.
Each purchase comes with a Documentation file which includes instructions and answers to any possible problem or issue and even tutorials for the products that are a little more complex.
But if you’re still can’t figure something out, they offer free support included in your purchase! WOW!
Every purchase comes with a commercial licence. As a lawyer and a blogger who teaches others how to blog legally, this is really important for me and it should be for you too! Having a licence proving that your design items can be used commercially for any products or design projects you make gives you that peace of mind that often free stock photo websites or online programs can’t give you.
Finally, and I think we will all agree here, I love that every week you get freebies and flash sales, plus a new bundle every month!
TheHungryJPEG offers weekly freebies and bundles of high-quality design items at incredibly low prices! Grab these bargains! Click To Tweet
What could be better
TheHungryJPEG provides so many formats for each design element you purchase and all in high resolution, which is great per se.
However, the downloads may end up being massive files that will take up so much storage space in your device.
That said, since all your past purchases are also stored in your account on their website, you can just keep what you need and delete everything else, then download some or all items again at a later stage if need be.
Their website and infinite selection of design elements on offer can be overwhelming and intimidating for someone just starting out. I would suggest to browse the photos and templates by category and also recommend taking advantage of the search tool to sort results out.
This is not actually a flaw related to TheHungryJPEG in itself but I thought it was worth mentioning it for the new bloggers reading this. TheHungryJPEG fonts will be available for you to use immediately in Word, Photoshop, Lightroom, PowerPoint, etc.
Most seasoned bloggers use Photoshop and Lightroom for their blog design needs and you will probably start using these programs down the track too.
But I’m aware that most bloggers who don’t have a design background or are just starting out use Canva for their pins and other design projects.
Unfortunately, the free version of Canva won’t let you add any new fonts.
This means that if you purchase fronts from TheHungryJPEG, you won’t be able to add them to the range to select from in Canva unless you upgrade to Canva for Work.
However, I do think that you’re missing out a lot by being limited to the free fonts available on Canva that everyone else is using.
Considering that Canva for Work is quite affordable ($10-$13 a month) and they offer monthly plans, if you’re on a tight budget, I would upgrade to Canva for Work for a month, upload all my fonts from TheHungryJPEG to my brand kit in Canva for Work, work on all my design project during that month then downgrade again to the free Canva.
This issue only applies to fonts. You can upload photos from TheHungryJPEG direcly to Canva, for example.
With their massive selection of high-quality professionally created photos, fonts, textures, patterns, bundles and even more exclusive design elements such as pearlescent or metallic graphics, TheHunryJPEG is an incredible resource for your blog’s design needs.
By offering freebies, bundles and premium design elements at different price points, TheHungryJPEG caters for bloggers on every budget.
It allows every blogger to achieve a professional and unique look for their blog and related design projects without having to invest hundreds of dollars in hiring professional designers.
